Endymion

Orbiting time, she walks the sky,

Selene, timeless herself,

Ascending, descending alive,

Harbingering a dreamless night

And broken hearts to come

Choosing the titanic love.

Through still trenches, blinding darkness,

His eyes entwine with the stars,

Aeolian love to the wild.

The astronomer, the shepherd,

Fell asleep for her to witness

The beauty within man.

Fifty daughters’ moonlit faces

Dance around to guard his rest,

Curse and blessing on his lips.

Sweet caress, neverending fight,

Fragile life, love at first sight,

Endymion.

The darkest kiss, eternal sleep,

Swept away, nothing to keep,

Oblivion.
